Privacy policy

Effective

Parity is operated by Twinleaf LLC, doing business as Parity, registered in Delaware, United States.

Twinleaf LLC is responsible for the personal information described here. This notice covers the current website and support correspondence. Accounts, saved learning activity, subscriptions and product analytics are not available yet; planned processing is identified separately below.

Information handled today

When you visit the website, hosting and security infrastructure may process your IP address, requested URLs, request times, browser or device information, and technical or error logs. This information helps deliver and protect the website.

If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address and message. Please do not email passwords, full payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information.

Why we use information

We use technical data to operate and secure the website, troubleshoot faults and prevent abuse. We use correspondence to respond to requests, resolve issues and maintain relevant support records. We may also use information to meet legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Where EU or UK data protection law applies, our legitimate interests include running a reliable, secure website and responding to enquiries. Depending on the request, we may also process information to take steps you request before a contract or to meet legal obligations. We will obtain consent where it is required for a particular use.

Providers and disclosures

Vercel supplies the current website hosting. Cloudflare supplies domain and DNS infrastructure; website traffic is served by Vercel. Support correspondence is handled through the email service used for our support inbox.

Providers may process information needed to supply these services. We may disclose relevant information when required by law, to protect rights and security, or in connection with a business transfer subject to applicable privacy protections. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising in this release.

Cookies and analytics

The current application has no account sessions, advertising integrations or product analytics. Infrastructure providers may use technologies necessary for security and website operation. Fonts are bundled with the website.

We will update this notice and obtain any required consent before enabling non-essential cookies or analytics. Planned product analytics will use limited, explicit events rather than automatic capture of all interactions.

Planned processing when features launch

Accounts are planned to use an email address, protected password credentials or optional Google sign-in, verification information and session records. Learning features are planned to store submitted answers, attempt results, quiz history, lesson and practice-checklist progress, and error reports.

Subscriptions are planned to use customer and subscription identifiers, plan and payment status, and billing records. Stripe is the planned payment provider. The intended integration will send payment-card details directly to the payment provider rather than store full card details in Parity’s application database.

Planned providers include Neon for stored account and learning data, Google for optional sign-in, Stripe for billing, Resend for transactional email, additional Cloudflare services for figures and bot protection, Sentry for error monitoring, and PostHog for limited funnel events. These integrations are not active account, payment or analytics features at the date of this notice.

Before activating these features, we will update this notice to match the data actually collected, the purposes and applicable legal bases, providers, retention, deletion and any required consent choices. Marketing email is not part of the current service.

Retention and deletion

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, taking account of its sensitivity, security needs, outstanding requests, applicable provider retention and legal obligations. Technical records support operation, security and troubleshooting; correspondence supports responding to and resolving your request and any justified related recordkeeping.

You can request deletion by contacting support. We assess requests under applicable law. Deletion is not an unconditional promise to erase every record immediately, including backups or records needed to comply with law or resolve claims. If billing becomes available, legally required billing and tax records may need to be retained even after an account is deleted.

Self-service account deletion is not available yet. Its effects on learning data, sessions, subscriptions and retained records will be explained when accounts launch.

International processing

Twinleaf LLC is registered in the United States. Website information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Contact support for information about processing locations and applicable safeguards.

We will review and document any required international-transfer safeguards before adding the planned integrations. This notice does not claim a certification or transfer arrangement that has not been established.

Your privacy rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct or delete information, restrict processing, receive a portable copy, or object to processing. In particular, you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Send requests or privacy concerns to support using the contact link below. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify your identity and understand your request. Rights can be subject to legal conditions and exceptions. You may also complain to the relevant data protection authority where you live or work.

Age and policy updates

Parity is intended for adult learners. Accounts and subscriptions will require you to be at least 18 years old. If you believe a child has supplied personal information, contact support so we can assess and address it.

We will update this notice when our practices change and provide any notice required by applicable law. The effective date above identifies this edition.
